The Newsdesk 09.04.09 – Tron Legacy Takes On Hornet; Social Network Cast Coming Into Focus

• Disney will release Tron Legacy on December 17, 2010, pitting it against Green Hornet. Geek knife fight!

• Justin Timberlake, Jesse Eisenberg, and Andrew Garfield have reportedly joined the cast of The Social Network, David Fincher’s upcoming movie about the formation of Facebook. Ironically, these rumors popped up on Facebook. Believe it when it turns up on Twitter.

• A new snippet of Where the Wild Things Are footage has been released. It’s pretty much safe to say this is the movie of the fall.

Tyler Perry will adapt Ntozake Shange’s 1975 play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf. That’s going to be one long title once Tyler Perry adds his name to it.

Overseas box office receipts are growing after a lackluster summer at home. G-Force plays well in any language.
