These days it’s easy to forget that Clint Eastwood was once merely a legendary Westerns actor, starring in classics like A Fistful of Dollars (1964) and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966). But he’s also left his mark on the genre as a director as well, with Westerns like High Plains Drifter (1973) and The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976) and he won his first directing Oscar for Unforgiven (1993), while also starring.
