• Author Frank McCourt, whose Angela’s Ashes was adapted into a 1999 film, passed away at the age of 78 after a battle with melanoma.

Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler evacuated a press junket for The Ugly Truth after a bomb threat in a Beverly Hills hotel. Luckily no one was harmed, except those who had to sit through The Ugly Truth.
