The reviews and the box office numbers are in. Surprise! Surprise! Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is a hit. With installment number six now in theaters, the time is right to ask which Potter flick is best? We know. It’s like asking which child you love the most, but if you had to pick just one. Here’s a crib sheet.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001): Harry learns he’s a wizard, goes to Hogwarts and keeps Voldemort. from stealing the Sorcerer’s Stone and returning to power.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002): Harry, Ron and Hermione return to Hogwarts and try to locate the Chamber of Secrets: and the monster that lives within.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004): Harry learns Sirius Black, suspected murderer and betrayer of Harry’s parents, is his godfather and is coming after him next. 

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005): Despite being underage, Harry is entered into the tri-wizard tournament and must complete three deadly tasks.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007): Harry, Dumbledore and company are persecuted by the Ministry, even at Hogwarts, for telling the world Voldemort has returned.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009): Dumbledore begins teaching Harry about Voldemort’s life  as the stakes grow larger and larger.
