The Friday the 13th reboot scored the best opening for a horror movie ever with $42.2 million. The fright flick is also on pace to have the best President’s Day weekend opening of all time. Whoever decided to open a Friday the 13th movie on Friday the 13th should be given the keys to Hollywood forever. 

Peter Gabriel turned down an offer to perform at the Academy Awards after learning that he would only be given a minute to sing his nominated song from Wall-E. Rest assured, show producers are standing outside of Gabriel’s window blaring “In Your Eyes” from a boombox as we speak.

Slumdog Millionaire continues to rack up awards, this time scoring a win for cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle at the American Society of Cinematographers Outstanding Achievement Awards. How about just giving the movie the Oscar right now and save us the three hours?
