Talk Forum: What You’re Saying

The Talk forum this week is discussing the enduring appeal of Rob Reiner’s The Princess Bride with the fans from Cinemania. “Whether you’re 14 years old or 80 years old this flick continually passes the test of time,” says fan Garrett. “The acting, the sets, the unforgettable characters, a moving love story, the jokes and, of course, the best sword fight ever makes this movie a true classic.”

Lauren meanwhile recalled with fondness how she used to watch the movie back to back to back on lazy Saturdays, and shared a memory from the taping of her Cinemania episode: “The coolest moment was having Mandy Patinkin lean over and whisper into my ear those now immortal words, ‘Hello…. my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die,'” she said. “I’ll admit it, I teared up a bit.”
