Majestic Student Film Adapting Rendezvous With Rama

Three minutes isn’t long enough to even remotely adapt the scope and beauty of Arthur C. Clarke’s novel Rendezvous With Rama, but this breath-taking student film manages to squeeze into that three minutes a nearly Kubrickian volume of mystery and majesty. The short film was directed and animated by Aaron Ross of the Tisch School of Fine Arts at NYU in 2001 and I honestly wish there was more. If Morgan Freeman’s proposed film adaptation of Rama can capture half this student film’s reverence, it’ll be a classic.
