In the twilight years of the Revolutionary War, it’s darkest before the dawn — especially for General Washington’s Continental Army and the Culper Ring.
We all know the colonies win the war (spoiler!), but as Executive Producer Craig Silverstein says in a new behind-the-scenes video, “before it got good, it got a lot worse.”
“I think Abe, this season, his journey is really one of vengeance and making sure that the people who’ve pained him get what is coming to them,” says Jamie Bell, who plays Abe Woodhull.
Meanwhile, in the Continental Camp, the immeasurable burden of the war is weighing on General Washington.
“He’s scared,” explains Ian Kahn of his character. “The stakes could not be higher… For General Washington, losing the war would mean losing his life, and losing the life of all of his followers and supporters.”
Watch the video to learn more about the trials that characters on both sides of the war will face in the final season.
