Den of Geek calls the latest episode “one of the best in the entire series—an action-filled thriller with added twists for several main characters promising hard times ahead.”

• Looking ahead to the next episode, CarterMatt warns that “one of the things that you are going to continue to see is more outflanking. Benedict Arnold will continue to do everything within his power in order to ensure that he finds a new path.”

Hidden Remote concurs that TURN: Washington’s Spies “delivered its best episode of the season by far. The action and traumatic events that ensued will greatly affect the outcome of the series.”

• The Santa Barbara (Calif.) Independent writes that TURN: Washington’s Spies “lures us into its dramatic snare by means of personal/national historical intrigue, soap operatic gear-turning, and stealthy wars of will and cunning.”

Fredericksburg.com reports that much of the most recent episode was filmed at Virginia’s Stratford Hall and that the show “has been a tourism bonus for Virginia, bringing in business dollars for the filming but also used by state tourism officials to generate interest in the wealth of Revolutionary War sites and history in the state.”
