Threats to Maggie and her baby’s safety are everywhere, even in the Hilltop.
While Maggie and Sasha handle the Saviors’ walker ambush with ease, Gregory’s plan to turn them in is more troubling. “Maggie is exactly the kind of person Gregory doesn’t want to have around, because she is a more capable leader,” explains Executive Producer Gale Anne Hurd.
But while Gregory remains hostile, Maggie and Sasha have also found a crucial ally: Jesus. “This Negan situation is not going to get better…” Tom Payne says. “Jesus sees in Sasha and Maggie another way. A better way.”
As for Maggie herself, Lauren Cohan explains that though she’s lost Glenn, “Maggie has something to live for,” and wants to make the Hilltop her home.
“She still does want retribution but is completely encompassed by making a safe hold for this child,” Cohan explains.
