On Sun., Feb. 20 The Motion Picture Sound Editors announced the winners for the 2011 Golden Reel Awards, and The Walking Dead‘s Sound Editor Walter Newman was honored with the award for Best Sound Editing: Short Form Dialogue and ADR in Television for his work on Episode 2, “Guts.”
Newman faced stiff competition to take home the award. Competing in the category this year were HBO’s True Blood, Showtime’s The Tudors, CBS’s The Mentalist, A&E’s The Glades, The CW’s Smallville, Fox’s Human Target and AMC’s own Mad Men.
