The Walking Dead Grabs Four Golden Reel Nominations

On Fri., Jan. 21 The Motion Picture Sound Editors announced their nominees for the 2011 Golden Reel Awards, and The Walking Dead was honored with a total of four nods for Best Sound Editing: Long Form Dialogue and ADR in Television; Best Sound Editing: Long Form Sound Effects and Foley in Television; Best Sound Editing: Short Form Dialogue and ADR in Television; and Best Sound Editing: Short Form Sound Effects and Foley in Television.

The Walking Dead‘s nominations are among six garnered by AMC this year, with Mad Men and Breaking Bad taking home nominations in the Best Sound Editing: Short Form Dialogue and ADR in Television and Best Sound Editing: Short Form Sound Effects and Foley in Television categories, respectively.

Competing with AMC’s lineup this year are such shows as ABC’s Lost, Showtime’s The Tudors and HBO’s True Blood and The Pacific.

The awards will be presented during a ceremony on Sun., Feb. 20 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles.
