Lofland stars in the forthcoming independent feature film adventure drama North, which follows a young man on a post-apocalyptic journey.Last year, cinema audiences saw him opposite Matthew McConaughey and Gugu Mbatha-Raw in Free State of Jones, from Oscar-nominated director Gary Ross (Seabiscuit, Big). In 2015, Lofland won praise in Twentieth Century Fox’s Maze Runner: Scorch Trials, based on the second novel in the popular young adult sci-fi series, and was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film - Supporting Young Actor (14 - 21).
Previously, Lofland earned kudos in Sara Colangelo’s Little Accidents, opposite Elizabeth Banks and Boyd Holbrook, which premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. Lofland made his acting debut in Mud, which premiered at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. The film went on to receive the Robert Altman Award at the Independent Spirit Awards and was named one of the Top Ten Independent Films of 2013 by the National Board of Review.
