Prisoner Panel Mentioned in the Papers, Wired Talks to Caviezel and McKellen

The Prisoner‘s appearance at Comic-Con today warranted a number of news items. Here’s a look, for you nameless numbers and free men alike:

TV Squad mentions that the Comic-Con appearance will allow fans to receive their own ID number.

Aaron Barnhart of the Kansas City Star remembers his first Con ten years ago, and mentions that The Prisoner will be represented at this year’s show. Indiewire does something similiar in its preview of the convention.

• In its coverage of this year’s Con, Wired News talks to not just Jim Caviezel, but also to Ian McKellen, who points out, “…there’s no point in wondering how am I going to measure up to the
other Number Twos, because it’s just a different script altogether.”

The original Prisoner series is remembered in Entertainment Weekly‘s Popwatch in a reflective piece about cult TV.
