Mad Men Receives SAG Nominations for Best Ensemble and Best Actor

This morning, the nominees were announced for the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, and for the fifth year in a row Jon Hamm and Mad Men received nods in the Best Male Actor and Best Ensemble in a Drama Series categories, respectively. The show’s nominations comprise two of the four snagged by AMC, as Breaking Bad was also recognized for Best Ensemble, and Bryan Cranston for Best Male Actor.

Competing with Hamm and Cranston for the Best Male Actor award are Steve Buscemi (HBO’s Boardwalk Empire), Jeff Daniels (HBO’s The Newsroom), and Damien Lewis (Showtime’s Homeland). Both AMC series will be up against Boardwalk Empire (HBO), Downton Abbey (PBS), and Homeland (Showtime) for Best Ensemble.

The awards will be presented during a ceremony simulcast on TNT and TBS Jan. 27 at 8PM/7c.
