Alfred Gough and Miles Millar – Creators/Showrunners/Executive Producers/Writers
Miles Millar and Alfred Gough are the prolific writers and producers behind some of today’s most successful pop culture. The pair created and executive produced the critically acclaimed action-adventure series Smallville which became the longest-running comic book-based series of all time and was the number one show in the history of the WB Television Network.
Most recently, the duo made their return to television with two highly anticipated series – Into the Badlands and The Shannara Chronicles.
The Shannara Chronicles, which Gough and Millar also created and executive produced while simultaneously in production on Into the Badlands, is based on Terry Brooks’s best-selling fantasy book series. The series has been praised for its gorgeously crafted aesthetic and visual effects and its debut episode reached a whopping 7.5 million viewers across all airings. The series recently wrapped its first season in March 2016.
Millar and Gough’s feature film screenplay credits include Sam Raimi’s blockbuster Spider-Man 2, starring Tobey Maguire, the hit action-comedy Shanghai Noon and its sequel Shanghai Knights, both staring Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson, the hit sci-fi thriller I Am Number Four, produced by Michael Bay, the action-adventure The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, for director Rob Cohen; and Lethal Weapon 4, starring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. They also produced the smash hit film Hannah Montana: The Movie, starring Miley Cyrus, which marked the first film produced under the Millar Gough Ink banner.
The pair first met while attending the Peter Stark Producing Program at USC and have been creative partners ever since.
