Thirio is pioneering an adventurous new culinary scene in – of all places – the Bronx. Under the innovative vision of executive chef Dion Patras, Thirio serves up simple yet elegant haute Hellenic creations – bold takes on classics like moussaka, skordalia and boureki.
Imaginative sommelier Thomas Moran curates Thirio’s cosmopolitan wine list, offering pairings with both well-known vintages as well as boutique Greek varietals. Built in the old Kramer Piano Factory, the intimate space was designed by Moran’s late wife Rie, the victim of a tragic, unsolved hit-and-run.
Patras and Moran established their reputations at restaurateur Patrick Woijchik’s noted Italian bistro Ottavio’s – a Manhattan hotspot infamously destroyed by arson.
Thirio is Greek for "beast" – and you’ll finish this dining experience with nothing
short of a savage desire to return.
