Fear Nabs WGA Nod; TV Guide Checks Out Alicia/Madison Deleted Scene

This week, Fear the Walking Dead receives a Writers Guild of America nod, while TV Guide checks out an Alicia/Madison deleted scene. Plus, Frank Dillane discusses a challenging Season 2 scene with HeyUGuys. Read on for more:

• According to Variety, Fear the Walking Dead has received a WGA nod for Part 4 of the web series, Passage, in the Short Form New Media-Adapted category.

TV Guide shares a look at a deleted scene from Season 2, Episode 6, “Sicut Cervus,” where “Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) finds a quiet moment with her mother Madison (Kim Dickens) amidst all the chaos.”

• Frank Dillane tells HeyUGuys it was challenging to film the scene “where I get attacked by dogs. They strapped up my leg with leather and all that stuff so they could bite my leg. That was pretty terrifying. Although they say bite the leg or whatever, if the dog chooses they could go for the neck.”

ComingSoon.net interviews Kim Dickens, who says Madison hooked her because “I was totally moved by her family relationships. And I loved how the show developed these characters in this way before the zombies show up at all.”

• Danay Garcia talks to ComicBook.com about a new Season 3 female villain, saying, “I’m really interested in seeing this character and how they’re going to make her and turn her into what. And what are her choices and decisions? And based on what?”
