Breaking Bad Wins TCA Award for Program of the Year

BB-S5-Walt-Jesse-Couch-325This past weekend at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, the Television Critics Association announced the winners for the 29th Annual TCA Awards, and Breaking Bad was honored with the award for Program of the Year. Creator and executive producer Vince Gilligan and star Bryan Cranston were on hand to accept.

Breaking Bad bested formidable competition, beating out FX’s The Americans, HBO’s Game of Thrones, Netflix’s House of Cards and AMC’s own The Walking Dead to take home the prestigious prize.

The 2013 TCA Awards, presented by the Television Critics Association, recognize outstanding television programming in the 2012-2013 season, as selected by the association’s 200-plus member critics and journalists.

Breaking Bad returns this Sun., Aug. 11 at 9/8c followed by AMC’s new original series Low Winter Sun at 10/9c.
