This week, the Writers Guild of America announced a list of the 101 Best Written TV Series of all time, and Breaking Bad was honored to be placed at the number 13 spot — sharing the stage with such television greats as The Sopranos, Seinfeld and The Wire. Also honored on the list was AMC’s own Mad Men at number 7. Paul Brownfield, writing on behalf of the WGA, stated that a “deeper pursuit of character is evident everywhere on the list, whether via a chemistry teacher turned meth kingpin or a dashing ad man in the 1960s who has literally stolen the identity of someone else.”
