Breaking Bad Receives Three TCA Award Nominations

BB-S5-Walt-Jesse-Couch-325Today the Television Critics Association announced its nominees for the 2013 TCA Awards, and Breaking Bad was honored with three nods in the Outstanding Achievement in Drama and Program of the Year categories, as well as an Individual Achievement in Drama nod for Bryan Cranston.

The nominations are part of five netted by AMC this year, with The Walking Dead receiving a nod for Program of the Year and Mad Men receiving a nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Drama.

In the Individual Achievement in Drama category, Bryan Cranston will face Bates Motel‘s Vera Farmiga, Orphan Black‘s Tatiana Maslany, Parenthood‘s Monica Potter and The Americans‘ Matthew Rhys for the award.

In the Outstanding Achievement in Drama category, Breaking Bad and Mad Men are up against FX’s The Americans, HBO’s Game of Thrones and Showtime’s Homeland.

In the Program of the Year category, Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead will compete for the award against FX’s The Americans, HBO’s Game of Thrones and Netflix’s House of Cards.

The awards will be presented Sat., Aug. 3 during the TCA summer press tour.
