Breaking Bad Up for Humanitas Prize; EW on Cranston and Paul Emmy Noms

Breaking Bad gets recognized with a nomination for the Humanitas Prize, and, in other nomination news, Entertainment Weekly tells readers which episodes the Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor nominees have submitted to the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

The Humanitas Prize, for excellence in TV and film writing, has honored “Peekaboo” (season 2, episode 6) with a nomination in the 60 Minute category. The prize will be awarded on Thu., Sept. 16.

Entertainment Weekly knows which episodes Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul submitted for Emmy consideration: “Full Measure” for Cranston and “Half Measures” for Paul.

• Cranston tells Entertainment Weekly what’s on his DVR (The Daily Show With Jon Stewart and CBS News Sunday Morning) — and credits Mad Men for his Breaking Bad gig: “They sent me the yet-un-aired version of the pilot of Mad Men, and I went, ‘Oh, my God!'”
