The New Jersey Star-Ledger, TV Squad and The San Jose Mercury News are all singing the praises of AMC’s drama. It is indeed the most wonderful time of the year.

The New Jersey Star-Ledger‘s Alan Sepinwall singles Breaking Bad out in his Best of 2009 in TV feature, saying the show “became a treat for the senses, making the Southwestern vistas as beautiful and disturbing in their own way.”

TV Squad‘s Joel Keller points to Breaking Bad‘s Bryan Cranston as his “Best reason to root for wealthy actors… His work on Breaking Bad was funny, tragic, and emotional.”

The San Jose Mercury News calls Breaking Bad one of its top shows of the year, claiming Bryan Cranston’s “portrayal of a sad-sack chemistry teacher’s misguided foray into the harrowing world of crystal meth continues to be superlative — and addictive.”
