Gregory Scott Cummins

Gregory Scott Cummins (born March 10, 1956) is an American film, television, and theater actor and former collegiate football player. Cummins is known for his portrayals of “heavies” and bad guys, but he has played a wide variety of roles in both comedy and drama. He has performed most of his own stunts over the years, except falls off high rises and full fire burns. He was a college football player for the University of California, Berkeley and also the University of Hawaii. He attended Miramonte High School (class of 1974). Cummins attended the University of California, Berkeley (Cal) on a football scholarship from 1974 to 1977. In the fall of 1977, he transferred to the University of Hawaii, Manoa to be the punter on Hawaii’s football team for his final two years of eligibility. At both schools, his undergraduate major was theater. Following his pro football career, Cummins returned to UC Berkeley, in 1983, to complete his bachelor's degree in theater arts. And then, in 1985, Cummins received a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in acting from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).
