Tony O'Dell

Tony O’Dell (born January 30, 1960) is an American actor, perhaps best known for his role as preppy Alan Pinkard on the ABC sitcom Head of the Class from 1986 to 1991. O'Dell was born Anthony Dell'Aquila in Pasadena, California. His first television appearance was a 1978 episode of the NBC television series CHiPs, titled "Trick or Trea." His first co-starring role was in 1985 on the short lived CBS science fiction series Otherworld, as Trace Sterling. He also played the role of the quiet Cobra Kai member Jimmy, in the film The Karate Kid O’Dell’s next co-starring role was of Manhattan-based high school student Alan Pinkard on the ABC sitcom Head of the Class from 1986 to 1991. The series was about a class of diverse geniuses; the character of Alan was preppy, ultra-conservative, and egotistical, his area of expertise being political science.
