Henry Mortensen (born January 28, 1988) is an American actor, musician, DJ, poet and artist. Mortensen had a small cameo role in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, which starred his father Viggo. (According to the elder Mortensen, it was Henry, a fan of The Lord of the Rings books, that persuaded his father to play the character of Aragorn in the film series). In Crimson Tide (1995) he played Henry Ince, son of Lieutenant Peter Ince (Viggo Mortensen). Henry Mortensen currently attends Columbia University in New York, where he is a DJ at WBAR, Barnard College Radio and a frequent contributor to Columbia's alternative/satirical monthly newspaper, The Fed, including the recurring anti-drug ads "got meth?". He also stars in the short film First Canyon Rain. Henry has performed on most of his father's albums since 1997, sometimes credited as Hank, playing bass guitar, piano, keyboards, percussion, and occasionally providing vocals. Doing so, he has worked with musicians such as avant-garde guitarist Buckethead and keyboardist/producer Travis Dickerson. His mother Exene Cervenka, singer of the punk band X, contributed to early albums of her then husband.
