Freddie Joe Farnsworth (born March 26, 1968 in Muncie, Indiana) is an American stunt performer/co-ordinator, actor and military advisor in the television and motion picture industries. His credits include acting roles in Spy Game, "Band of Brothers," and Rules of Engagement, stunt double for Max Martini in "The Unit" and military advisor for Oliver Stone's Alexander. Farnsworth grew up in Pinedale, Wyoming, the son of Win and Brenda Farnsworth. He joined the United States Marine Corps (USMC) in May 1985 and was stationed with 1st Battalion 7th Marines (nicknamed First Team) until July 1991, serving in both Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He then went to Marine Combat Training at Camp Pendleton as a troop handler and a weapons and tactical instructor. In December 1994 he received an honorable discharge as a Sergeant. Upon leaving the Marine Corps, Farnsworth returned to Casper, Wyoming and was working as a truck driver and in sales for Butane Power and Equipment Co. when in April 1996 he began work as a technical advisor on Starship Troopers and began his association with Dale Dye's company Warriors Inc., a military advisory service for filmmakers.
